The in dam purchase from the 2001 Hinman Angus Production Sale and what a purchase she was! Beletta 0219 was just a nice looking bred heifer that carried the bloodlines we prefer with lots of maternal strength and productivity. It didn't take long after Moonshine was born to know he was something special! As a 5 month old calf Moonshine was named Grand Champion Angus Bull at Frontier Days in Swift Current and Reserve Champion Overall Breeds! This was quite a feat as we're aren't show people but it was pretty hard to get around Moonshine heavy muscle pattern, style. Moonshine was sold later that fall to Summit Creek Angus at Central Butte for $5000, that marked a major accomplishment for as it's honoring that another breeder would choose to use one of our bulls on their Registered herd. Now approaching his 8th birthday Moonshine is still breeding cows and leaving sons that are easy to market and daughters that are fertile, moderate and good uddered. In other words, Moonshine does a lot of things right! Little did we know that this would be just the tip of the iceberg for his dam, HA Beletta 0219.
